    3/5,
    Version: v2.0
Just now testing this new version of Ambient Songs, but am super glad to see it get an update and new config option! Thanks. I'd just looked at it for the first time recently and had given up because of lack of updates for so long. But now....

    Update:
Ok, my enthusiasm is slightly tempered now after taking a closer look. One main reason... lack of tips, suggestions, info on how to get the most out of this plugin. But I salute the author's reemergence and update!!

Let's look at the config and questions/suggestions:
(Please read as friendly brainstorming, not criticism)

    Chance: 5
    5? What, 5%? Just a 100 die roll, right?
Perhaps a separate chance for each kind of trigger event, instead of one filter for all?

    Times of day:
Perhaps for those that don't keep tick counts in their heads, a simple reference listing of "when" (i.e. day clock tick count) these events happen... dawn, midday, dusk, midnight. Can this be looked up by everyone? Yes, of course, but why not provide the info where it matters... in the config and on this page? I think it would help most of us, or at the very least save us time testing the plugin.

    Event: Nether
Nether? When you first enter? Only chance? Or, is it still still triggered at 'time of day'? A bit unclear.

    RECORD ID's
How about a handy link or information that puts these obscure record references into some context or where they can be quickly listened to? And, if you know how one can change those songs to other audio files, perhaps toss us a bone with examples of how to do that. Again, you don't have to do this, but would enhance the value of the plugin, I'd think.

Finally, how about some user-defined events, or at least an expanded list? Examples: when a fight begins w/ a specific mob type (e.g. dramatic music or a battle cry), or, when a chest is opened, when a teleport happens, etc... the list could be long. Coming up w/ a scheme that the user can define --- such as a console command than could be triggered by a command block or events monitoring plugin, for instance --- would rock the Kasbah.

It would be awesome to see this plugin more completely fill a desperately sparse niche in the plugin universe... event-triggered audio. There are existing methods and a plugin or two (not to mention mods) one can find to do that, but the list of updated options has greatly diminished.

Thanks for the update! Hope you'll consider some of these ideas. If so, make it Premium and get some compensation for your work amigo! Will definitely donate either way. :)

      Author's Response
Thank you for the nice and extensive review/suggestions.
I added some extra comments in the config on this page to explain it a bit further, please tell me if there are still parts that are not completely clear.

I'll see what I can do about the event driven sounds, I'll have a look what's already on the 'market' to make sure I'm not copying an existing and working plugin.

If you have any suggestions on certain sounds/songs per event already feel free to PM me. :)

      Kinds regards
