For newer versions of Minecraft, please use FAWE instead. It is significantly faster, supports a lot more biomes and is less buggy. The PlotSquared command is the same, the WorldEdit command has changed to just //regen [biome] [seed]

From the developers of PlotSquared, we bring you BiomeGenerator!
It is capable of generating natural terrain of a specific biome within a selection. The generation takes place one chunk at a time so that your server can still operate during the process.
BiomeGenerator currently is compiled for craftbukkit 1.7, 1.8. 1.9, 1.10.
Currently the following plugins are supported:
PlotSquared:
- Use the command: /plots generatebiome <biome>
- or the alias: /plot gb <biome>
- Permissions: plots.generatebiome, plots.generatebiome.<biome>
WorldEdit:
- Use the command: //biomegen <biome> [height] [seed]
(checks WorldEdit mask)
- The default height is 64
- Use a worldname (e.g. "world") as the seed to use the same seed as that world.
Permissions: worldedit.biome.generate
PlotMe: 0.16
- Use the command: /plotme generatebiome <biome>
- or the alias: /plotme gb <biome>
- Permissions: plotme.generatebiome, plotme.generatebiome.<biome>
CONFIGURATION:
All configuration can be done through the config.yml
version
- The plugin version (not configurable)
base-generation-off-world
- Leave it blank unless unless you want to use the generator of another world to create the biomes. (Use this if oceans are generating)
ticks-per-chunk
- The interval between generating new chunks (20 ticks = 1 second)
populator-inset
- As population happens on a per chunk basis, population can occur somewhat outside the selection.
- A value of 0 will populate any chunk if even part of it is in the selection
- A value of 15 will only populate a chunk if it's entirely in the selection
- Choose a value in between if you are comfortable with a tiny amount of spread.

Notes:
- Only one biome generation task can take place at a time.
- generator.generate(...) will return false if a generation cannot take place
- use "null" for the player if you do not want to receive any messages

i like it...but i dunno to keep it from generating a high biome :/ EX: i generate a forest...it generates an unbelievable height of stone blocks, as if it was the mines, then the forest.

It's fairly difficult generating at the desired height without wasting a lot of time calculating.
The latest version should have some tweaks for the algorithm so it will result in somewhat better heights.

Increase the populator inset to 15 if it is spreading into adjacent plots.
Want to let me know what the "many bugs" are so I can fix it for you? Or was that just an exaggeration?
It would also help to know if you are using WorldEdit, PlotMe, or PlotSquared in conjunction with the plugin.
