Somone on the IRC asked what the best way of blocking players from boosting themselves with arrows while flying with an elytra was and I couldn't find one already doing it.
So here is my solution to this: A very simple Bukkit plugin that lets you block boosting yourself with arrows while gliding with an Elytra. Otherwise player can fly an infinite distance without the need to ever land by hitting themselves up/forwards with arrows and knockback bows! If you for whatever reason want to block this awesome mechanic this plugin does that in under 100 lines of code!
There is also a permission to bypass the block and a message you can send to those who tried to hit themselves with an arrow while gliding!
/BlockElytraArrowBoost, short /beab
/BlockElytraArrowBoost reload - Reloads the config
blockelytraarrowboost.command - default: op - Gives access to the command
blockelytraarrowboost.bypass - default: false - Gives permission to bypass the block
LicenseCode (Text):# The message to send to a user when he tries to boost himself
# Set to an empty message to disable it!
warningmessage: "&cBoosting yourself with arrows whily gliding with an Elytra is blocked!"

shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was
holiest and mightiest of all that the world of censorship has yet owned has
bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What
water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement,
what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this
deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become authors simply to
appear worthy of it?
