DropsOverhaul is a very simple plugin that does a lot to reduce lag. The core of its functionality is junk blocks (see list below), when mined by the player, will be sent directly to their inventory instead of dropped. This means you don't have to worry about people mining tons of stone and having countless amounts of cobblestone sitting on the ground that not only creates lag, but it fills up the inventory of the people around.

    2. Stone

    5. Diorite
    6. Granite
    7. Andesite
    8. Gravel

    11. Basalt
    12. Grass Blocks
    How everything is thought out
If the player's inventory is full, the default behavior is for the junk blocks that are mined to not drop anything, although this can be changed in the config.

Grass will drop dirt and stone will drop cobblestone, unless a silk touch tool is used to mine it. Gravel will also drop flint 1/8th of the time, as it should.

    The /killdrops command
/killdrops is a command that allows players to kill all the items around them within a certain radius (default 20, configurable in the config), which some players may find useful so the items they want to get rid of won't be picked up again by them or their friends.

/killdrops is normally accessible by everyone, but there is a permission available (dropsoverhaul.killdrops) that can be enabled in the config if you don't want everyone to have access to the command.

So there you have it, a simple but effective plugin at reducing both lag and annoyance.
