    What is ItemsXL?
Good day, Sir. Looking for a good custom item plugin? Feel free to have a look at this one: Welcome to ItemsXL! The software you're reading about is a first Beta release of a new custom item manager plugin. It provides a powerful API and YAML script system to use and modify items as much as Minecraft allows and more. Feedback is highly appreciated!

    Features
    • Create highly customizable items with simple YAML scripts
    • Simple but powerful API
    • Per-mob or mob group adjustable damage of a Vanilla item, custom item or item group (similar to the attack / defense effectivity system of Pok√©mon)

    A built-in custom item.

    Changelog

    Compatibility
    Server
Supported: CraftBukkit for Minecraft 1.8.x and higher

    Java
    8 and probably higher.

    Known incompatibilities
None. An item box system ensures compatibility with all plugins that can add lore lines to items.

    Configuration instructions
Every single item, be it a Vanilla custom or a custom item, has its own item script. Inside an item script, you can modify the values of an item. The damage dealt to a specific mob can be adjusted with a modifier, so you can make your weapons more effective against skeletons while they are nearly useless against zombies! To make this even easier, you can setup your own item and mob group system inside the Item- or MobCategories.yml file and use group effectivity instead. Even though ItemsXL is not a custom mob plugin (there are enough well-structured ones out there), you can create mob scripts to handle their defense values. Besides Vanilla mobs, mobs with different custom names can have their own defense values. Please have a look at the wiki for further information.

    Support, bug reports & suggestions
I highly appreciate any kind of feedback and I'm willing to offer support. This is not the place to ask for support, though! Please do not PM me and do not misuse the review function for support requests. I'll do my very best to help if you open an issue at Github. Avoid to use the discussion thread, too, please, unless you don't have a Github account.

The plugin looks useful and cool especially when using DungeonsXL plugin, but the problem is the sample script is not working or is causing errors to the server and I already put a ticket in the issue tracker but no one or yet the developer hasn't responded to the ticket. I can't get this plugin to work because the plugin gets disabled when I copy and paste the sample CustomItem script, please make a reply to my ticket and I will surely rate this to 5 stars when the problem is fixed! thanks

I'm sorry to hear it doesn't work for you. I appreciate that you made an issue before reviewing this resource, but I can't and therefore won't reply to issues for the time being because I'm in the middle of the exam period of a really difficult semester. A new update with better error handling might be finished in August or October. This depends on how fast my papers are done.

Very nice for what I can figure out, but lack of any kind of documentation short of an example item makes it difficult to get the full usage out of it.

I've been fooling around with this resource, and I can say that it's really promising. Granted, there are the bugs here and there as this is the development version. I'm excited to see this resource become fully fleshed out with all of the features functional.

Looks really promising and creating items or mobs is really easy after reading the wiki. :) Still, I have encountered some stacktrace (comment).
