LavaSponge is a small plugin which allows to use vanilla sponges in lava, and also let you place them easier (in lava and in water). Bonus for 1.13 & 1.14: It add the 1.15 mechanism which dry out sponges placed in Nether (obviously also works in 1.15 as it's then a vanilla feature).
Edit: (2019-12-16) I've just discover a similar plugin exists for 1.7 to 1.12...
So if you're under 1.13 and want this feature, try this one instead
(I haven't DL nor tested so idk if it works same way but at least you have an alternative).
Place a sponge in lava and around lava blocks will be changed into air (or block types you defined in config), like vanilla sponges do in water. By default, only wet sponges will work in lava but you can change that in config.
Also, you can place a sponge in lava / water without a solid block to place against, simply point the liquid with the sponge in hand and it will be placed in (you can also choose to disable this).
Placing a wet sponge somewhere in Nether (or worlds you choose) will dry it out, like 1.15 will in Nether worlds, even if you're running a 1.13 or 1.14 server (in 1.15 you can remove this new mechanism, with SpongesStayWet plugin).
There is no dependencies, simply drop the jar file into your plugin directory, then start your server.
All configuration parameters are explained in this config.yml.
There is only one: /ls-reload, to reload the plugin configuration.
- ls.reload allows to use the /ls-reload command
- ls.use allows to use sponges in lavaFind a bug?
