    About
If your server always has a few players that AFK forever and causes a waste of server resources, or if you want something that can hold lots of players like a waiting room or server lobby, you can consider using a Limbo server.

This standalone server program can act as any other backend server in your bungeecord network (tho can also work without, options in server.properties).

Currently, the program is still under development and things will continue to be added.

Limbo Server is built against 1.17.1 (1.16 - 1.17 can be found on the build server) and wouldn't work with other versions though you can use something like ViaVersion on bungeecord to allow other versions to connect.

A small .schem can be loaded as the default world (the current sponge/worldedit schematic format) and player skins are also supported.

Limbo Server also has an API which allows you to create simple plugins and change the behaviour of the Limbo, such as listening to chat events, adding custom commands, sending custom packets, or even adding more worlds.

    Demo Limbo Server
    Currently on Minecraft 1.17.1
    Code (Text):
    IP: mc.loohpjames.com
    [IMG]

    Installation
    1. Put Limbo.jar in a folder you like
    2. Start the server just like any other spigot server with the

(Or without --nogui flag if you for some reason like the annoying GUI)
    Code (Text):
    java -jar Limbo.jar --nogui
    3. Edit the server.properties
    4. Restart the server

    5. Set up and link the server to your bungeecord proxy if you use that (Remember to set bungeecord to true in step 3)

Love it, altho I would love to have a way to send players to a server without entering a cmd (like a compass, signs or portals one could set up) so it'd make the perfect lobby but that's just me lol

good work and thx for sharing that project to the community!

Great resource, works very nicely. Consider adding an option in server.properties whether or not to download the Limbo template plugin.

Unfortunately, each version is very different from the other. However, you can use something like ViaVersion on bungee to support older versions.

Truly an amazing plugin! Best of it's kind!

I do have few suggestions tho and bug reports.
    1) I'm getting Disconnected for "Incorrect Payload received in KeepAlive packet."
    2) Would u be able to add Skript and Holographic Displays support and also different schems based on certain events? For example, a first-time player joins, I'd like to show him teleport him to schem where he knows he needs to register, etc... But the second time he joins that he needs to log in. When he's AFK, then give him a limbo where he's afk with a lot of parkours and levels so he's never bored (maybe even chat games?).

      1) It is a weird issue which I am looking into.
      2) I'll probably implement to the ability to create other entities with the Limbo plugin API so you can have holograms, as for having a different location for first joins, it should already be possible through coding a plugin using the Limbo API.

Yes, of course everything works cool, but how to add support for older versions?

This works great for network servers! All the bugs I had were fixed. I would recommend for network servers!

The Server seems pretty cool, but I don't get it to work with ViaBackwards and ViaVersion. For a lot of people, this will be useless if it doesn't work with older versions of Minecraft. Could you maybe write some kind of help for older Minecraft Versions?
    Thx

It should work with ViaVersion + ViaBackwards (+ ViaRewind if 1.8) on bungeecord. However, there is currently a bug in ViaBackwards regarding 1.15.2 -> 1.16.1. So wait until that is fixed, it should work just fine.

Configurable in so many different ways - including world type, BungeeCord functionality, even version string(?!). I'll definitely be using this for my network, and I can't wait to see what else LOOHP adds to Limbo!
