It is often useful to deop yourself from time to time, but asking an oped friend or using the console to re-op yourself is anything but convenient.

Op Toggle is the solution! Op Toggle allows for easy swapping in and out of op with /opt
Other versions of Op Toggle lack many of the core features of this resource.![]()
- Some plugins store users with access in the config file, but this means you would have to change the config and restart/reload the server every time you want to grant a new player access to the op toggling command. With Op Toggle, all you need is /sop
Op Toggle stores users who have access by keeping track of their UUIDs even when the server turns off. This means that even if you change your name, Op Toggle will never give the wrong user access.
- Alternatively, some plugins grant users access to the op toggling command by assigning a permission node, but then if a non-oped user can adjust their own permissions, they can grant themselves access and get op unexpectedly which could be disastrous. With Op Toggle, access can only be granted through the console.
