This resource is still updated and developed. As of right now it has not been updated since 2015 simply because the plugin still works and it has not had any feature requests. (Written on 14/02/2018)
Welcome to ServerInfo! A BungeeCord plugin that allows you to change the server list text!
When you hover over the "11/150" bar, you normally see all players online. ServerInfo allows you to customize this text to say anything you'd like!
Here's a screenshot:
As you would for any BungeeCord plugin, install it in your BungeeCord plugin directory. This won't work with Bukkit or Spigot.
You will find the configuration in the same file as your BungeeCord jar file, called "ServerInfo.txt". This file will contain all the data that is sent to the player.
Here is an example of the file:
Use %player% to get the players' name. Only works if the player has previously joined the server (Will turn into "New player" if he hasn't).Code (Java):
&aI hope you enjoy your stay on this server!
&6We have &bGuns, &5Swag, &7and more!
&1Come and join %bungee_online% people in the action!
Use colour codes to modify the colour of the text. For example, &a is green text, &4 is dark red, and &l is bold.
If you have any feature requests, please PM me and I'd be happy to add them as long as they're logical within the scope of the plugin.
Display server info by hovering on the player list!
Plugin functions as describes and adds unique customization to a BungeeCord server. This is definitely a great way to make your server stand out and add important information to stick out. The author also has a well-established history on these forums and has authored numerous other resources.
However, if you plan on using this, be aware that the newer versions have an annoying bug that will generate loops of arbitrary numbers in your logs. While this does *not* affect functionality, it is definitely annoying and can lead to your log sizes growing significantly in size as well as make them more difficult to parse. If you are looking to use this sooner than later, I would recommend using an older version for now.
Author is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. Will update review once update is released.
