RESOURCE IS INACTIVE! CONTINUATION HERE: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/★shinyitems★-fork.69716/

Whenever you hold a torch, a glowstone, or anything you want, it enlightens an area around you. As normal light, this can be seen the best on dark (during night and on caves).

    Installation
    • Simple: Drag & Drop.
    Dependency (REQUIRED)
    Commands / Permissions
    • shinyitems.use - If permissions are enabled from config, players need this to use this plugin. Otherwise, all players have this by default.
    • shinyitems.use.item_name_here - If both permission options are enabled from config, players need above and this permissions to use lighting items. For example to get torches to emit light, player needs "shinyitems.use.torch" permission. Item names can be found here: https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/spigot/org/bukkit/Material.html. Remember to type the permissions all in lower case.
    • shinyitems.toggle - Grants access to "/shinyitems toggle". Toggles shinyitems on/off for player executing command.
    • shinyitems.reload - Grants access to "/shinyitems reload". Reloads data from config to memory. Used to make changes to config take effect in-game.

Configuration (In config.yml you really only need to touch enable-permissions. Nothing else.)
    Code (Text):

    enable-item-specific-permissions: false

    Version: 1.6.2
This plugin is awesome. It's got a great API and the main feature in itself is pretty rad. I have glowstone swords and such that glow when the player weilds them! Truly epic.

This plugin is a great idea, truly fantastic. Unfortunately either it's quite resource heavy or is just by default quite slow. It doesn't update smoothly and will lag behind when you run.

Yep epic plugin nice addon for my players!
Its a little bit shoky light when you walk but thats normal i think. Very cool!

If by "shoky" you mean that the light doesn't move smoothly when you move. If so, that is intended behaviour. It's like that to reduce the amount of packets sent.
But anyways: Thanks for the review! And feel free to ask if anything else bothers you in the plugin.

    It's a great plugin!
Can you make it configuable to set where the fake torch floats & whether to use LightAPI?
I have the LightAPI, but the map would be changed permanently when API light source didn't despawn correctly, so I prefer to use your fake torch. It would be much better if I can set the height of those torches.
Thank you for make this plugin!

Works amazingly well, well done! However, I still noticed some bugs in the lastest build(this build)
    1. Make it update while a player is flying.
    2. When not moving, switching to other items retains the light source.
    3. The torch is visible

      Thanks for the review.
      1. I disabled light-source spawning while flying to reduce lag caused by high player movement while flying.
      2. I will look into that.
      3. Torch is visible if you do not have LightAPI installed on your server.

Really Like it. Would be awesome if it worked with torches in offhand, But a really cool addition that really should have been in base game!

Thanks for the review. I will make it to support items in offhand when I'm more familiar with 1.9.

Plugin has very simple function: light the torch.
But it makes its job perfectly, without lag or something.
Developer is supportive, he helps me and others commentors every time they needs something. Plugin is very good. Thank you for your work!
    Sorry for my bad English.

Thank you for the review. Report any bugs with the new "LightAPI system". Ps. That was understandable english at least for me.
