Simple perms is an extremely bare bones permissions plugin. It is perfect for servers with simple permission needs. It is extremely lightweight, but does not offer many of the advanced features that other permission plugins offer.

The core of simple perms is the groups. Permission groups are defined as a list of users and a list of permissions. The "group.[group]" permission is used to grant all the permissions of a group to the holder. Group inheritance is extremely flexible, as this mechanic is functional at any depth. Permissions and group membership obtained through this feature will be displayed in yellow instead of gray on lists.
For example, if the group "owner" has the permission "group.admin" and the "admin" group has the permission "group.mod", then the "owner" group will inherit all of the permissions of not only the "admin" group, but the "mod" group as well. There is logic in prevent infinite looping if two or more groups reference each other in a cycle.
In addition to groups, simple perms comes with a universal permissions list. Any permission in this list is applied to every player on the server. This mechanic is an alternative to default groups. The universal permission list also supports the "group.[group]" syntax.
Groups and the universal permission list are the only permission holders supported. Individual players can not hold unique permissions without being a part of a group.
Simple Perms is compatible with my Discord role syncing plugin, Role Sync.
