I made this plugin as a slight modification of a youtube plugin making tutorial, and I'm uploading it here if anyone else could benefit from it. It shows the player name in yellow and "joined the server" in grey when a player who has joined before joins the game, and it shows "<player> has joined the server for the first time!" when someone joins for the first time, with their name in blue and the rest of the text in yellow.
