Immersive and simple plugin to add mailboxes that work to your server. Just place a chest/barrel/shulker box on top of any fence or wall block to make a mailbox!

Right-click the mailbox to check your mail; it opens the container normally. But if you right-click while crouching, it will instead open that mailbox's Outbox, shown below.

The address of the mailbox is shown at the top of the inventory. THIS IS CASE SENSITIVE, because the case and abbreviations are what tell the Server where this mailbox is in the world. It is a real in-game location, altered to look like an address.

SENDING MAIL

To send mail, simply craft a writable book and write your letter inside. Remember to sign it!

Make sure to rename it exactly the same as the address of the mailbox where the mail is being sent.

Once it is renamed, crouch and right-click your mailbox to send your mail. Insert your mail, and then close your inventory.

If you followed these instructions, then your mail will automatically send and appear in the mailbox at the address you wrote.


COMMANDS (currently ops only):
/sendmail <name> <0-1 anonymous> <message>

Every 10 minutes, everyone gets a notification if they have virtual mail sent to them via /sendmail (command only available to ops). Notifications can be turned off, mail read and mail cleared all via text buttons; no need for a GUI.
