(Because I really couldn't think of a better name)
Note: This plugin isn't actively maintained any more. It was just a concept for a 3D map viewer and I have moved on to other things.
ThinkMap is a WebGL based mapviewer for Minecraft. It allows for your viewers to walk/fly around your map just like they're ingame.
You can view a demo of it here: http://thinkmap.thinkofdeath.co.uk/release/ (Offline due to not being able to keep it up 24/7)
- Add plugin to server
- Start server
- Walk around on server for bit (it generates the information needed on the fly)
- Point your browser to http://server-ip:23333/
- See map
Currently the viewer will start at your world's spawn point, this can't be changed currently.
This requires a modern browser to work
Currently configuration of this is very limited but this should be expanded later.
webserver.port - The port the web server (used for serving chunks) should run on. (Default: 23333)
webserver.bind-address - The address the web server (used for serving chunks) should bind to. You shouldn't need to change this in most cases. (Default: 0.0.0.0)
resources.pack-name - The name (minus the .zip) of the resource pack to use, complex/large resource packs are not supported
client.hide-ores - Replaces ores with stone (client side currently)
no-touchy.* - Do as it says, don't touch
index.html (If serving the files from a different server to the plugin)
MapViewerConfig.serverAddress - The address of the plugin's web server (Default: ocation.hostname + ":%SERVERPORT%")
If you want to host the client on your web server instead of the plugins you can download the files here and modify the config to point to your server.
- Missing blocks/textures
- Sign text is missing
