WorldEditSelectionVisualizer (WESV) has been originally created by rojet601. Since this user's gone inactive since November 2015 and the plug-in contains some errors, ZathrusWriter decided to release an 1.8. forward-compatible version with those errors fixed.

    Change of Ownership (16/9/2018)
WorldEditSelectionVisualizer is now maintained by me (MrMicky) :)

    Overview
WorldEditSelectionVisualizer (WESV) is essentially the famous WorldEditCUI mod in the form of a bukkit plugin, which means that players don't need to install anything on their client.

    Features
    • Spawns particles around WorldEdit selections so players can see them
    • No client mod required
    • Supports cuboid, sphere, ellipsoid, cylinder, polygon and convex selections
    • Supports Polyhedral regions when FastAsyncWorldEdit is install
    • Can display the current clipboard (use /wesv toggle clipboard to enable)
    • Use /wesv toggle to toggle the visualizer
    • Option to only show the selection when holding the selection item
    • Configurable particle effect and view distance
    • Prevent players from spawning too many particles when selecting huge regions
    • Highly customizable for the performance of your server
    • Great compatibility: works with 1.7.10 to 1.14 servers, with WorldEdit 6 and 7, and with or without FastAsyncWorldEdit

This plugin can be very resource expensive, try adjusting the configuration if you experience lag.

Great plugin, works as advertised. Glad the clipboard vizualisation is disabled by default now, it confused me when I suddenly had a big box following me, sorry for the 3 star review.

You can change the particles distances, and disable top or bottom lines in the config, it should reduce lags :)

The plugin is simply great. I used it for a few months and when I went without it for a few days, I constantly found myself thinking about how easy what I was doing would have been with it. The config file is easy to read and if you mess up all you really need to do is look at the overview again (cough, I didn't do this, cough, I feel like an idiot). But in all seriousness, it's great.

A great idea was realized. With this plugin you can help many people with worldedit permissions. At here you get fast support too if you have a problem or a new function-idea. Currently the visualisation for sphere and ellipsoid seletion is broke, but I think this bug is fixed in the next time. For the most used cubic seletion it work great! :)
