2 Bungee's CPU. Which is better?

  1. Hey guys. So I need a second machine, and I intend to dedicated it to mostly bungee. I want to know which is better, in your opinion. It will have TWO bungee instances, each running(to be safe) around 500 players. Which CPU is better?
    Intel E5-1620: 4 cores, 8 threads. 3.6ghz-$149
    Intel E5-1650: 6 cores, 12 threads. 3.2ghz-$199

Which one is better, and is it worth the extra $50?

  2. Two Bungee instances on the same machine == pointless.

For one instance, the E5-1650 could hold well over 1k players on it's own.

    I agree with hcherndon.

I currently have only one BungeeCord instance on Minetime, it runs on a Dual E5 2620. I checked the CPU usage today with 1600 players online--only ~70%. You could probably host more than 1000 players even on an E3 1230, but I would recommend a dual-processor machine.

    BungeeCord is MultiThreaded?

  5. Isn't that obvious?

    Yes, very much so.
