%%__USER__%% Not being replaced

Discussion in 'Spigot Plugin Development' started by Sniper., Jul 5, 2018.

  1. Using %%__USER__%%. Got another user besides myself to download the plugin, they sent it to me, I decompiled it, and it stayed as %%__USER__%%. Any tips?

    Code (Java):
    public static final String USER = "%%__USER__%%";

  2. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do here. Can you explain further?

  3. It only works for premium resources.

  4. It is.
    The %%__USER__%% variable is replaced for the users ID when downloaded.

  5. Interesting. Did that person actually pay for it, or did you add them manually as a buyer? I think that makes a difference.

    @2008Choco would know more

  6. I added them as a buyer.

  7. I don't think this will be useful thing to know.

    EDIT: nvm since ur the seller

  8. I'm confused? Can you explain further what you were talking about?

    It could be due to your "obfuscation" making the code incredibly strange, but beyond that, no clue

    (No sense in obfuscating, open source your code. I won't get much more into that, you can search about any thread regarding that topic for my stance on it)

  10. the screenshot is showing why its strange correct?

    "USER" -> "byte", a primitive keyword in Java. It's valid in terms of bytecode, but not syntaxically valid. I doubt this would cause any issues, but who knows.
