A new look at using a Database to store the world

  1. So I've been scrolling through so many forum posts about storing the Minecraft world or parts of it in a MySQL server, I'm here to say SQL may not be the proper solution to this, and present a new idea.

I've recently been doing some research on different database solutions and I believe I have found a viable solution. Cassandra, being a KKV database you could use the "world" as the first key, and the world data trying to be accessed as the second key, be it playerdata, region data, datapacks, etc.

I'd like to hear any ideas people have on how viable this solution may be or how it would be implemented.
If anyone would like to attempt it I'd love to check it out.
