Anyway to not show prefix in commands?

Discussion in 'Spigot Plugin Help' started by bumpyJake, Mar 28, 2020.

  1. I have a server using plugins like essentials (so also EssentialsChat) and GroupManager for prefix and ranks and perms and stuff.
Basically I was wondering if there was a way to hide the prefix whenever a name shows in a command in chat.

    For example, instead of:
Set game mode creative for [OWNER] bumpyJake
    It would say:
Set game mode creative for bumpyJake
Obviously still showing colours for the name

I've seen this done on other servers but i don't know how to do it?

Any help would be appreciated :)

  2. Assuming you are currently using displayname as the placeholder for it, in which case it shows the group and player displayname, use the player placeholder instead

  3. how would i do this?

  4. use {USERNAME} the player's name or {PLAYER} for the player's displayname.

  5. That wouldn't work, especially since most permission plugins have the prefix inside the player's name brackets. I've tried that before and it didn't work.

  6. Si cela devrait fonctionner. {USERNAME} repr├ęsente Player#getName() qui retourne le pseudo du joueur
