AWS / Azure

  1. Hello,

I haven’t really seen much research on this so I thought I would create a thread and ask.

Is hosting minecraft servers in Azure and AWS a wise idea and what benefits would you get doing it and what would be the down sides.

    For example stability, redundancy etc
  2. In terms of performance, there are some differences due to the load on that node/cluster where your virtual machine is running on.
  3. Pros:
    • Stability
    • Good networking
    • Desktop grade CPUs (i7s, Ryzens) are best for MC, you'll have worse performance
    • Incredibly expensive
    • Bandwidth is also incredible expensive
