Spigot BannerBoard [Paid] [Deleted]

  1. At the moment this isn't possible.

    Would it be unethical to just reload bannerboard every few seconds. Because the boards can change, you can specify slides with different images and text, but placeholders can't update with those board changes? That seems weird to me.
  3. I just purchased this and added a support request yesterday. getting a console error.

    Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening?
  4. Is there a way to add a command when people click on the bannerboard?
  5. Because of MC bug MC-46345 there is a large number of events that actually stop banners from updating at all. BannerBoard reload only works in very few cases, often only after logging in directly, not switching between servers/worlds and not respawning. I will not be offering a "feature" as to be part of BannerBoard, when I know it will not work most of the times. I feel like not offering it as a feature is the better option then.

  8. SkinRender.com Notch Skins

    Skinrender.com was using the old retrieval-by-name URL's for its skin requests, namely http://skins.minecraft.net/MinecraftSkins/%username%.png

    It seems this was taken offline by Mojang as of today. I am working on a solution and will post updates here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Mojang reports at https://status.mojang.com/check that their skin service is unavailable. This is most likely the cause. First awaiting further information or a green status from Mojang.

  9. Amazing plugin, i have a suggestion to add!

    Add a system like buttons on it like when a user click a possition on the bannerboard it opens like a other board.

  12. Mojang shut down their Skin-Service for Username requests: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/WEB-985

    Dynmap Skins are also not loading. We have to wait for a pluginupdate to a newer Mojang-API with UUIDs :)
  13. Is skinrender.com:2798 having issues? Keeping timed out requests :/ I guess its related to the legacy skin server where it fetches player skins right?

    Hopefully my Skin API has been fixed but its not a CDN and afraid to be rate-limited if getting too many requests :X

  14. Alright, https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/WEB-985 yesterday broke skinrender.com together with many other skin related services. For now, I have switched to the new API. Unfortunately this API is capped at 600 skin requests per 10 minutes. At startup, skinrender approximately gets 600 new skin requests per minute, so that is a little problem. For now, I implemented an in-memory cache of size 10,000 that keeps track of the latest and most often requested skins. If you skin is not in the cache and we are unable to do a skin retrieval request right away due to hitting the cap, you will temporarily be returned a Notch skin. Meanwhile, skinrender.com queues the skin retrieval, so it should show just fine in a second request a few minutes after that. As a result of this, players who haven't played on your server (or another server that uses BannerBoard with skinrender.com) for a while might first see a Notch skin, depending on whether they happen to be in the cache or not.

    This is a temporary fix until a better alternative is available, because routing the skin request through 10 different proxies does not seem like a good solution to me.

    I didnt manage to get any player skin since mojang decided to turn off their skin service. I tested it with serveral player and of course I waited a few minutes, relogged and reloaded. Everybody keeps seeing that terrible notch skin. So do I have to change something?

  17. Set the delay to 1 request per 3 seconds... Still getting my requests rejected. This new API makes no sense for services that continuously need to fetch skins from their API. Guess I need to build my own database or something to keep track of skins.

  19. Im the owner of the server, so I have played recently, but I still and always appear as Notch. Is there going to be a fix soon, or what can I do to start appearing in the boards again?
