Best OS for a dedicated Minecraft Server?

  1. I'll stick to Screen + Debian, It's the most reliable for me.
     
  2. Im pretty sure you cant use like a SoYouStart or OVH Dedi and install your own operating system.. theres a selection.

    I recommend CentOS. (64-BIT)

  5. This is a terrible question in the first place.
    The answer should be "Whatever linux distro you are comfortable with. If you're not tech savvy, just go for windows".

    You could run arch linux as a server os without a problem,
    You could run gentoo as a server os without a problem,
    You could run slitaz as a server os without a problem,
    You could build your own distro from scratch with LFS and use it as a server os, though it'd take some time.

    Just use what you are comfortable with.
    If you have no experience with linux distro's, go for ubuntu.
