Hi everyone, 18 minutes ago Mojang released Minecraft 1.8.6 containing a few minor fixes. We have updated to this version and released it in place of 1.8.4 and 1.8.5, and as the latest version for all users. In order to get this updated server, simply run the latest BuildTools, eg: Code (Text): java -jar BuildTools.jar If you haven't used BuildTools to create a server jar yet, it is suggested you first read the 1.8 announcement and the additional BuildTools info thread. If you have any issues, please don't hesitate to ask for support on either the IRC channel (chat tab above), or the forums. The bug tracker (on hub.spigotmc.org) is also available, however please keep entries there limited to actual, verified bugs. Hope you enjoy, ~Spigot Team If for some reason you still require 1.8.3 you should run BuildTools with --rev 1.8.3, eg: Code (Text): java -jar BuildTools.jar --rev 1.8.3
The JIRA links Mojang posted on the update post are almost all dead. Can someone enlighten me on what 80478, 80479, and 80480 were?
It's annoying when they don't fix bugs and security flaws for updates after updates, but more annoying when they fix bugs and security flaws all the time and release updates every week. rawr.
These updates are starting to become very tedious. The actual plugin developers are probably ripping their hair out though. Thank you anyway!
I've read about that, which is why I'm hoping I'll have more luck here vs on Mojang Is there a link to Spigot JIRA that talks about what those bugs are? "Better validation of Movement packets" don't really explain details/what it changed/why it changed
