Ok, I know bukkit was made before Spigot but what made Spigot Become spigot. What is the difference between BUkkit and CraftBukkt What happened to Bukkit? When did this happen? I have heard rumors of Mojang got sued? or Minercraft.

Bukkit was originally created as an open source project by the community. It was bought by Mojang Yes, afaik CB is craftbukkit, and any forks were DMCA'd by the aforementioned dev because they contained his code, can't explain specifically why, again, google it
