Chat Component API

I want to create something like this, http://www.spigotmc.org/threads/snippet-interactive-books.65064/

Wich uses this, http://www.spigotmc.org/wiki/the-chat-component-api/#events

Only I can't make it work, I get errors like:

CraftMetaBook cannot be resolved to a type

BTW: I want to use 1.7.10, however I am currently using the spigot 1.8 api, because I only have the bukkit 1.7.10 API wich doesn't implements the Chat Component API

 

Oeh, I dont know that right now, because I don't have my pc on, but I believe Spigot.jar . And ass far as I know IRC is used to chat.

 

I did, but it didn't work. But like said before: I'm not sure I use the server jar.
