"Coding" vs "Progamming", Whats the difference?

  1. Not bad for the 14th accepted definition..

  2. A word could have hundreds of accepted definitions, and they can all still be accepted. Also, if someone here uses the word "code" or "coding", what do you think they are referring to? At least in the context we are in, I am right.

  3. This mumbo jumbo about dictionaries is pointless.
The original, set in stone, latin/oldenglish definition of "coding" may be the technically correct one, but is nothing like what people really mean when they use "coding" in a context of computing. No one.

And as thus, I would like to state my opinion that I don't think "coding" in a computing context is a valid word. It's like writing "kay" instead of "alright".

  4. How people use words determine the meaning, not the original intended meaning.
