Custom Events using EventPriorities

I'm a little confused. I looked at MD_5's tutorial on creating a custom event, which showed using a "Normal" event priority. And I looked over this reference page: but I'm still not exactly sure how to add all the priorities available to Bukkit to a custom event in their subsequent order.

The event priorities are for the listeners not the events. As such, events do not have to deal with the priorities at all, Spigot will take care of it for you.

But how does spigot determine where the lowest point of code is ran dynamically compared to the highest? You'd think for your own events you'd have to define that?

Never-mind. Not awake. I understand what you mean now by actually looking at the source.
