Custom Faction Messages

First off - wrong section

Second - have a look through the configuration files. I haven't used MassiveCraft Factions before so idk if it is possible to change the messages.

 

Spigot Plugin Help is probably the best.

 

Massivecraft has always hardcoded their messages, so no, it's not possible without modifying the plugin code.

 

You can get a Java bytecode editor and search for the string you wish to change.

 

Why would you need a bytecode editor for open source software?

 

Bytecode is much faster than compiling a plugin. subjective

 

Well, you can either mess with Bytecode or fork the project properly, change messages and rebase it every time there is a commit sothat you get the latest updates easily. This solution seems a lot more reasonable to me.

 

If the plugin is updated regularly it will become much more of a hassle to download the latest source and compile it every time. Efficiency > Reason-ability? I'd also suggest we stop spamming this thread with pointless posts, the information is here for OP to make a decision based on what he wants.
