1.8.8 Do you still need to store banned players?

  1. player.setBanned(true); is deprecated and doesn't seem to work at all now.

    The new way of banning players seems to be along the lines of this:
    Code (Java):
    Bukkit.getBanList(BanList.Type.NAME).addBan(offline.getName(), broadcast, null, player.getName());
    My question is, do you need to store banned players or does it do this automatically now?

  2. It would be faster if you tested it.
    I didn't test, but in your code I see that you add the player to the banlist, so I don't think you have to store it anywhere. I think it does it automatically.

    Players are saved in the banned-ips.json or banned-players.json (depending on which ban list you're using) by the server.
