At the momment there is a kitpvp world, spawn world, and a survival world. Everytime a player switches between the world the entire server freezes for 1-2 seconds. TPS stays at 20 but just a quick lag spike. I have a feeling its multiverse inventories but am not sure. If it is /isnt is there a way I can fix it? Or am I stuck with this lag? Timing: https://www.spigotmc.org/go/timings?url=hazobonaca Server Version: Spigot 1.15.1
1.15.1 is outdated, doesn't get updated, and should be replaced with 1.15.2. Anyway, it still may be a problem with plugins. KP-PVP is very suspicious.
Updated to 1.15.2, still lag on player death / world change. KP-PvP is a kitpvp plugin but its been happening before Ive added it so it isnt the problem. Any other ideas? Also, there are 5 main worlds, a Spawn world, a KitPvP world, then the nether, overworld, and end. Updated timings (its getting worse): https://timings.spigotmc.org/?url=urimumesiy
KP-PVP is not suspicious at all, that person above seems to not understand timings (0.0 per tick) You should look at what says the top of the page: Notice: Your AVG TPS is less than 19 but server load is less than 95. This may mean your server is having memory issues (leak or not enough). This is usually a sign that Java is spending too much time Garbage Collecting. Try using -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 flags and increasing your -Xmx. How much ram do you have allocated? Can I see your startup args ?
I've got 7gb of ram allocated to the server. Im using a host to run the server, its not run off of my computer
just remove all of your plugins then check if the same is still happening, if yes, it's a plugin issue, if not, it's your server configuration / server specs
yup, but once you find, plugins are out of question, which makes the range of possible problems smaller
It's not Multiverse-Inventories. It's kitpvp, kp, and teleport commands (tp, tphere, back) and CitizensCMD. Look for high numbers (>100) in the "Avg" column.
If it is the teleport commands, what do I do to solve the issue. Im very desperate to solve it, theres constant lag due to 15+ players that teleport to and from the worlds constantly. :/
I have two plugins which will dump out the startup command line arguments: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/systemproperties.66958/ https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/memcheck.68883/ You can just put in SystemProperties, restart your server, then remove the plugin. The parameters are written to the log file. If they teleport to the world's spawn point, you can tell Multiverse to keep the spawn loaded in memory. Otherwise, maybe someone else knows of a solution. While we're at it, what's your view distance?
I already have the spawn chunks loaded with a plugin, still no use. View distance is set at 5 Discord (If you can help me D: ) Kangaroozy#0609
