Error with Bungee Cord on Mac

Discussion in 'BungeeCord Discussion' started by ninjapreez2000, Jul 1, 2013.

  1. Hey md_5,

Im a mac user and im trying to run 6 servers on 3 machines.

    here's the error:

    i have th3e latest java
  2. The bungee server runs on my proxy machine which is a mac
  3. As said in the "tutorial" you need java 7.
  4. I installed it last night
  5. Delete java 6, and make sure you are using seven, not to drive the community away but if you can't do theism then bungee is probably not for you.
  6. hey i did what you told me to do but the same error comes up

i even deleted every trace of java and reinstalled it

    maybe it's a bug
  7. It is not a bug, in terminal run
    Code (Text):
    java -version
    and paste what it says.
  8. weird it says:

Last login: Tue Jul 2 10:07:11 on ttys000
    Tylers-Mini:~ tylercolvin$ java -version
    java version "1.6.0_45"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_45-b06-451-11M4406)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.45-b01-451, mixed mode)
    Tylers-Mini:~ tylercolvin$
  9. even though i installed java 7
  10. Make sure to delete all java and install java SEVEN not SIX.
  11. do you have a link to 7, seems i keep installing 6 but the control panel tells me i installed:

    Java 7 Update 25

and it also says i have the recommend version
  12. Are you sure you need BungeeCord? How big is your player base.
  13. i found a plugin called transporter but it needs a client patch. Me and my friend want to start a set of servers for our youtube channel bartninja's. I found BungeeCord and it solved all of my problems (because I can put this on my proxy when it act's like a proxy for minecraft servers). At least 200 to 300 players
  14. Hello fellow mac user!

I got the exact same issue that you are having. What I did was formatted the hard drive (making sure I backed up everything important onto an external hard drive), Re-Download OSX 10.8 and went here to download Java 7 and went into Terminal, typed "java -version" and something will come up saying you need to download Java SE. There should be a button saying download. Voila! Java 7. Not sure if this will work for you, but it worked for me :)
  15. I actually found something like that:

Step 1. Donwload Java 7 and Install it
Step 2. Download and Install Java JDK
Step 3. Go to terminal and type
    Code (Text):
    java -version
Step 4. If it Doesn't say Java 1.7.0_25 then reply to me
  16. And you dont have to format the drive or install any new opreating system updates
