Failed to Start Server

  1. Hello,
I am having issues getting my server to boot. Randomly, it started saying something along the lines of
"Could not reserve enough space for [some random amount of numbers]KB object heap."
Figuring Memory, I checked and my computer said I had 4.5GB usable memory when I only requested 2.
And it does not produce any form of log, using latest Spigot for 1.9.2. Any ideas?

  2. Could you possibly post your startup script? I read that you requested 2 GB, but regardless the startup script will help.

  3. Here it is. It worked before, so don't ask me why it isn't now.
    java -Xmx2G -Xms2G -jar spigot-1.9.2.jar nogui

  4. I have also tried the MB alternative instead of using "2G"

  5. I have found and fixed the problem.
Java decided to update to a 32-bit version (while I had 64-bit), thus, putting a limit on Memory usage. Just uninstalled it, works perfect again!
