Failover IP already in use by eth0

  1. Hey guys,
I've followed the directions from http://help.ovh.com/IpAlias about how to setup a failover IP on my SYS server for CentOS. The problem is, that when I do ifup eth0:0, it says this: Determining if ip address xx.xx.xx.xx is already in use for device eth0...

I've tried binding my bungee server to this IP as the host and it won't bind because it's being used on eth0.

Edit: In simpler terms, my failover IP is binding to the interface eth0 instead of eth0:0.
