Solved Fix sponge mechanics

I am running a 1.8 server, and I want to fix sponges. This plugin https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/old-sponge-mechanics.22925/ seems like the one, but I tried it and it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions? Let me know, thanks!
