Healthiest way to link files / configurations?

  1. Hi,

since I'm currently reworking my network, I was wondering how much should be managed at a central point for easier maintenance. I currently have linked the spigot.jar only.

And is it better to create symbolic links or to have a copy script which updates the old files?

  2. It sounds like you're talking about it being on the same machine. As long as your plugins do not lock files or write to them I would assume that it would be safe to sym link them. But if each one needs to have it's own version (eg shard specific versions of files) then you need to make a script to copy them.

*Edit I was responding to another thread and thought about this but do not try to run them on the same world files unless they don't change while both are live since one will not have the changes.
