I think it might be easier making a bungeecord plugin. I don't really understand why you would use spigot for this. Anyways, the only way (I think) to get the response is checking the onPluginMessage (It is at the top of the page here: http://www.spigotmc.org/wiki/bukkit-bungee-plugin-messaging-channel/#the-bungeecord-plugin-channel), and send the message to the player.
