Solved Help With BungeeCord Setup (On a dumb server setup).

Discussion in 'BungeeCord Help' started by boiimakillu, Mar 22, 2020.

  1. Hi guys, first time posting here.
So I have a server hosted on Google Cloud (yes it's dumb, but its also free, and I like tinkering).
Anyways, I've managed to get it working fine with normal spigot/vanilla/paper, but I am having some trouble with BungeeCord. My end goal is to get it so that one can log in, and take a portal to either a 1.15/16 survival world, or log in on a different version and play some minigame maps. It's just a small server for some friends.
I have installed BungeeCord, and changed my server.properties to online_mode:false and server_ip:127.0.0.1:25564/3
And I think I have configured my config.yml correctly too. (https://pastebin.com/GsVZJ69T)
Yet, whenever I start BungeeCord it gives me this error https://pastebin.com/iMxZtQZM

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    Your servers section is broken:

    Code (YAML):
    servers:
      lobby
    :
        motd
    : '&1Just another BungeeCord - Forced Host'
        address
    : localhost:25565
        restricted
    : false
    ip_forward
    : false
    online_mode
    : true
      onedottwelve
    :
        motd
    : true
        address
    : 127.0.0.1:25564
        restricted
    : false
    ip_forward
    : false
    online_mode
    : true
The ip_forward and online_mode values only need to be there once at the top level, you are breaking the servers section by including them after your lobby.

Also as a general advice: Try avoid using pastebin, their site breaks indentation in the main view which is extremely important for yaml. Use something like hastebin.

  3. Ok, thanks. I made those changes, but I still get this error: https://hasteb.in/katabuco.sql
    Here's my config.yml: https://hasteb.in/kuxewiki.yaml

You've set motd: true which is a boolean and not a string which will cause that error. But a string there and it should work.

  5. Ok, no errors now. But now it just doesn't do anything.
When I go onto the ip in mc, it doesn't forward me anywhere, just errors. How do I actually set it to forward me to a lobby?
Am I seeing these issues because I am running my server jars in GNU Screens?
    Thanks
