Hi! Hosted server crashes randomly

  1. So i buy a host with theminecrafthosting.com and now i have a problem whit random chrases and a lot of them when i restart the server, the error is always the same, out of memory, but i dont understant i have 3gb of memory free, is like a 50% of the sever free. So anyone knows how to solve this problem? thanks <3

  2. -XX:MaxPermSize=128M <- no longer needed.

    -Xms1G -Xmx3G

    try running it like that first?
    See if you can allocate 3gb of the 6gb on the system (remember: it can only allocate free ram if it's really there to allocate)
    and start with 1gb, if it needs more it can go up to the 3g allocated
  3. How i can change this values? i try before but in a hosted server i dont see where i can change that, and thanks you for your replay <3
  4. They offer you that service, that's a question for them.

    I run minecraft the right way, from the command line interface and under my control. Not going to let some host decide what i can and can't do

  6. Don't they have a way to control the startup params for the game?
