How do I make Dynmap more secure?

  1. Hey,

    I am setting up Dynmap for one of my Bungeechord servers. This means that the server is in offline mode and I can't let the ip of the server be known or chaos would soon fall upon me. I was wondering how to hide the server ip when using dynmap as the default url is SERVERIP:8123

    So far I've added a HTML version to my site so it's now available at MYWEBSITE/dynmap However you can still view source code on right-click and see the original link.

    How do I hide it from this earth?
  2. If you're using nginx (like you should be doing), you can proxy it using a location block in your server block like this:
    Code (Text):
    location /dynmap {
        proxy_pass http://localhost:8123
    Then access the map from
  3. That is literly the only thing you could do lol.

    EDIT: Isn't that the default port for it, you should change it to a port your not using. Also is this a dedi or a shared? Some shared hosting wont let you do it
