How quick does Spigot update to the latest version of Minecraft?

Discussion in 'Spigot Discussion' started by evol, Sep 11, 2013.

  1. Hey, Spigoteers.

I have a really crappy laptop that can't run a Minecraft server very well. Well... That was before I found Spigot. I found Spigot while looking for how well a Minecraft server would run on a Raspberry Pi.

Anyway, Spigot is amazing. It used to be impossible to have two people on the server doing much, and now I get four people without an issue at all.

My question is the thread title: How quick does Spigot update to the latest version of Minecraft? With the snapshots being produced, Minecraft 1.7 isn't that far away, and my friends and I are excited to explore all of the new additions together, which can't really be done with the standard Minecraft server program.

Where do you get the impression 1.7 is near? We've only had one shapshot...

Anyway, here's what md_5 had to say when 1.6 was comming about

  3. Near as in relatively near. I didn't mean next week near. :) Anyway, thank you for the quick reply! I'm glad to hear that it should be ready not too long after 1.7 is released.
