Hello Everyone! I just set up a minecraft server, and figured I'd run it on Spigot right away. I put in McMMO Multiverse2 multiverse-netherportals and permissionsex After many deaths and accidents, we managed to build a nether portal, and that's when I realized they don't work out of the box. Can someone please assist me in how to set up access to the nether?
Nether portals work. I'm assuming your nether portals plug in is giving you issues. I would recommend removing that plug in, it hasn't been updated in 5 years.
Did you enable the nether in server.properties file and make sure that none of the plugins disable the nether
Now I have removed all plugins from the plugins folder. The only remaining things are PluginMetrics and Updater. Still no nether when I go through portal
If nether is not possible to enter, it may be either the jar running the server or the initial config i think
If you have created a new world, After the default "world" the server doesn't create the world_nether and world_the_end. You must create the world Like this: /Mvc NameWorld NETGEAR (or End)
Thanks for all the replies! I'm using spigot-1.11.2. I followed ThePabloDev's advice and created a new nether world. To do this I moved Multiverse-Core-2.5.jar back into the plugins folder, and it seems it detected missing worlds and created them then. I went ahead and did mvc nether2 NETHER anyway. Still I go through the portal without getting anywhere.
Realizing multiverse was not installed when I built the portal, I rebuilt it now, but that didn't seem to help either
No i think that you didn't understand. The default words are: - world - world_nether - world_the_end If you created the world "pancrazio" The nether of this world Will bè - pancrazio_nether or - pancrazio_the_end
Did you have multiverse installed the first time you started the server? Check you folders for world_nether and see if any files are in it.
OK, but then the worlds , "world", "world_nether" and "world_the_end" that I have ought to be correct, right?
