How to get my VPS Interface?

  1. Mainly looking for this due to iftop, if you can help ty.

    (OS IS Centos7)

  2. nvm, ima jus use eth0 / eth1

  3. Sounds like a question you can ask your host.

For iftop, make sure you have the right libraries to capture traffic, and know your network interfaces
    Code (Text):
    yum  -y install libpcap libpcap-devel ncurses ncurses-devel

    yum install epel-release

    yum install  iftop
You can get your network interfaces probably with
    Code (Text):
    sudo ip addr show

    or
    sudo ifconfig
To use it one, use -i flag with iftop
    Code (Text):
    sudo iftop -i <interfacename>

  4. What do these do, i already know what epel is and got that sorted but ion know bout
    yum -y install libpcap libpcap-devel ncurses ncurses-devel

It might be a wild guess, but it could be related to the line that says "make sure you have the right libraries to capture traffic" ..
