  1. This is my settings class

    Code (Java):
    import org.bukkit.configuration.file.YamlConfiguration;

    import java.util.List;

    public class Configuration {

        private JavaPlugin plugin;
        private String name;
        private File file;
        private YamlConfiguration config;

        public Configuration(String name, JavaPlugin plugin) {
            this.plugin = plugin;

        public JavaPlugin getPlugin() {
            return this.plugin;

        public void setPlugin(JavaPlugin plugin) {
            this.plugin = plugin;

        public String getName() {

        public void setName(String name) {
   = name;

        public File getFile() {
            return this.file;

        public YamlConfiguration getConfig() {
            return this.config;

        public void saveConfig() {
            try {
            } catch (IOException e) {

        public void saveDefault() {

        public void saveDefaultConfig() {
            getPlugin().saveResource(getName(), false);

        public void reloadConfig() {
            this.file = new File(getPlugin().getDataFolder(), getName());
            this.config = YamlConfiguration.loadConfiguration(getFile());

        public void deleteConfig() {

        public boolean existConfig() {
            return getFile().exists();

        public String getString(String path) {
            return getConfig().getString(path);

        public List<String> getStringList(String path) {
            return getConfig().getStringList(path);

        public int getInt(String path) {
            return getConfig().getInt(path);

        public List<Integer> getIntList(String path) {
            return getConfig().getIntegerList(path);

        public double getDouble(String path) {
            return getConfig().getDouble(path);

        public List<Double> getDoubleList(String path) {
            return getConfig().getDoubleList(path);

        public long getLong(String path) {
            return getConfig().getLong(path);

        public List<Long> getLongList(String path) {
            return getConfig().getLongList(path);

        public boolean getBoolean(String path) {
            return getConfig().getBoolean(path);

        public List<?> getList(String path) {
            return getConfig().getList(path);

        public boolean contains(String path) {
            return getConfig().contains(path);

        public void set(String path, Object value) {
            getConfig().set(path, value);

    Where do I start the setup

    Code (Java):
    public void onEnable() {
            getCommand("reportar").setExecutor(new ReportCommand());
            getCommand("reports").setExecutor(new ReportMenuCommand());
            Bukkit.getPluginManager().registerEvents(new InventoryClick(), this);
            Bukkit.getPluginManager().registerEvents(new Reporting(), this);
            data = new Configuration("data.yml", this);
            delay = new Configuration( "delay.yml", this);
            messages = new Configuration("messages.yml", this);
            config = new Configuration("config.yml", this);
    The problem I am having is that my configuration is not loading the "default" values that are being set in the IDE, sometimes it loads in half, as if it were blocked in half, other times it doesn't even create the configuration itself.

    You never reload the config after saving the default config to your datafolder.
  3. @SteelPhoenix

    Okay, could you give me an example of what I have to do, I find myself a little confused.
    Should I load it right after it is created / saved in my data folder?
  4. In fact, your information was useful, thank you very much
