I'm thinking of switching to Dedicated but I'm struggling where to start.

  1. I currently have a 5 servers and it's just getting a bit messy and expensive so I was thinking of changing to dedicated. I would also like to change so I could add more mini-game servers. I just have no clue where to start so if somebody could PM me and just talk to me about it that would be great. Thanks!

  2. Performance machines are the way to go depending on your playerbase, what's your budget and current playerbase?

  3. What is it that you're struggling with exactly? Is it looking for a dedicated server or managing one?

  4. Player base doesn't matter I would like cheapish but good standard. I haven't been advertising so don't get many players atm. I could probably afford around £40-£70 a month after everything else has been paid for. I have looked at these sites:

    ovh.com
    soyoustart.com
    kimsufi.com

  5. If you're looking for a dedicated server at that price range I'd like at some from so you start. I'd personally recommend the E3-SSD-3.

  6. It's not just buying the server it's everything else really..

  7. If you don't know where to start in regards to configuring the server I'd recommend getting someone to do it for you.

  8. I would also like to learn though you have to start somewhere.. :( I would like somebody to help me.

  9. Fair enough, you'll probably need to read a lot and I'd really recommend getting someone to check your configuration after you've finished everything but here are a few links to help you out across a few operating systems.

Bottom ones are SSD's. Faster at reading/writing files, good for large worlds and lots of file changes happening.

  10. That's alot to take in XD do you think we could speak on Teamspeak?

  11. I probably won't be able to as I'm quite busy especially during weekdays (as I have a full-time job). I'm happy for you to add me on Skype though and I'll respond to messages as soon as I can :) Skype: connorl11

  12. Ok you are very helpful thanks :) I have added you on skype.

  13. I don't really want to pay £40 for my first month really. Will anything less than that still give good connection/ping?

  14. :( Everyone left me!

  15. You could try a Kimsufi or even a VPS but they obviously won't be as good for performance.

  16. I really could do with abit of help with pufferpannel could somebody message me and help me?
