Is DDOS protection needed if I'm going to be using OVH?

  1. Hey, I plan on buying an OVH server, however I've been looking into some protection for it from DDOS attacks. I'm currently on the edge of whether I need to pay extra for protection or whether OVH will suffice with the protection that comes with it.

    Any advice is appreciated :)

  2. From my experience OVH will be sufficient for 99.95% of the attacks. Their anti-ddos infrastructure is pretty good.

  3. No point in paying for remote protection if you don't need it, all it'll do is hurt your wallet and add latency. If you find you have issues with OVH's filter, only then add remote protection
