Issues with server performance

Discussion in 'Performance Tweaking' started by PatrickMayo, May 23, 2016.

  1. Hi all
I'm having some issues with server performance.
Server drops down to 12-13 TPS randomly and I'm unable to track down why.

    Timings:
    https://timings.spigotmc.org/?url=16626208

    Spigot.yml:
    http://pastebin.com/9VxGgNe9

    Bukkit.yml
    http://pastebin.com/NuyM1X8s

    Server Version
    Code (Text):
This server is running CraftBukkit version git-Spigot-8a048fe-a022dd2 (MC: 1.9.4) (Implementing API version 1.9.4-R0.1-SNAPSHOT)

    Run.sh
    Code (Text):
    #!/bin/bash
    screen -dmS minecraft java -Xms2G -Xmx10G -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -jar spigot.jar
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks Pat

  2. Hey,
Maybe you deactivate Minecraft - Breakdown!

And one Last Question: Do you run Multiple Servers (Bungee / Perworld stuff) or just one?

  3. Tux

    Tux

You are grossly misinterpreting timings reports.

  4. I don't work with Timings!
Sry @all for that answer :(

  5. @PatrickMayo The timings are not saying much, you took them while the average server tps is 19.99. You need to provide timings in the time of the lag.
If you start experiencing lags either run /timings on or /timings reset (if they are already on), then wait some minutes or until the lag is over (5 to 15 minutes I'd say) and get the results with /timings paste. In that we can see then what part of the server took how long.
