Java updating

    My server was working on Java 8 for a long time(for 4-5 years), but it was released in 2014... Is it a good idea to update to Java 11?

    Many plugins are coded with java 8, and some will break upon updating.

    So, I need to test my server's plugins by myself? Okay. Is there any other problems may occur?

    ...or you could just stay on Java 8 and avoid headaches all together. If the machine's sole purpose is Minecraft, there is no reason to move to another version.
