Lag when standing far from world origin

  1. For some reason there is server lag when player is standing at about 2 million blocks out. Nothing comes up in the log about it and the player doesn't have to be doing a thing. If I send him to spawn it fixes. I would provide a server log but it is horribly filled with error messages and if my log is something you need I don't want to waste your time. At this point, I am not looking for a solution; I am just wondering if anyone else has seen this before. To me it is not a big deal--I can just set the world boarder :)
  2. Never been out to 2 million blocks on a server before, and I'm probably not gonna do it.

    So, I don't know why it happens and I've never seen it before.
  3. I think it is because Spigot had to load so many chunks etc. Imagine a machine having to compute tens of thousands of bytes of data, wouldn't that lag and cause error messages? (Unless you had a super-pc)
