Bug Low tps(again)!

Discussion in 'Bugs & Feature Requests' started by Runemoro, Jan 9, 2013.

  1. No new plugins, no tnt explosions. After updating spigot, the tps sometimes drops to 15-16 and sometimes even 5-11. This does not depend on the player number. The CPU does not change during the lag spikes.

I have been getting something similar. Every 4 seconds a lag spike and everything just freezes. Cpu is perfect, ram usage is perfect..

  3. Download the latest clearlag and use /lagg chunk. That'll locate the chunks with the most entities. If that doesn't solve your problem, try to stay away from the /reload command, and remove some larger plugins. NoLagg's examination program is absolutely amazing for seeing whether or not a plugin uses a lot of resources.

Problem is, if a plugin were using a lot of resources it would have an impact on cpu :S

  5. There are not more than 5 entities in each world(essentials /lag command)
    The NoLagg examine doesn't work:
    • The creator stopped working on it
    • The examine thing didn't work with spigot
I did not have this problem before.

  6. I have uploaded the latest version of my build to

My version includes a custom timings feature that will time more than even what NoLagg did.

So enable plugin-profiling in bukkit.yml, run my build, then when you see lag, /timings reset then wait a bit and /timings merged

Then run it through http://aikar.co/timings.php to get a more easy to read format to see whats causing alot of lag.

Once Spigot has gotten stabilized to the "Next" system will work with md_5 to bring these timings to spigot.

  7. I finally got a lag spike(after waiting 1 hour), the total lag is 0.239 seconds over 30 seconds. There is not any plugin that lags a lot more than the others. The entity, memory, cpu do not change. This happened after I updated spigot, and it became worse when I updated it again. Before, when NoLagg wasn't dead, it kept getting stuck in the chunk waiting method at "Thread.sleep()" I also tested this without Orefuscator, it doesn't make a difference.
