Minecraft Restart On Crash Script Help

Discussion in 'Spigot Help' started by visiar, Feb 21, 2020.

  1. Hi, I am running a Minecraft server spigot 1.12.2, using digital ocean/Linux.

My server crashes a lot, since it's semi-anarchy and people crash it by accident.

How would I go about making a script to restart on crash? I tried to edit spigot.yml and enabling restart on crash. But nothing seems to happen. I would paste all the scripts I used but I am on my phone at the moment.

Do you guys have a restart on crash script? I'd like to know how to get my server to restart on crash. Is there anything I need to do in console or something? Thanks

  3. Personally i use multicraft. If you have a large server i would recommend a control panel for your server.
Server settings are managed and stored in MySQL, and there is a very good gui.
There is a automated function that will restart the server if it crashes, and its not optional. Unfortunately running minecraft server from java cli, is not very optimal, and you dont have the same control and overview.

There are also free versions of control panels for minecraft servers:
